Since 1985, Paramundo has offered Secondary 5 students at the College a unique opportunity to develop global awareness through meaningful international experiences. Each trip, carefully planned over several months, provides an immersive cultural and human experience that broadens students’ horizons and transforms their perspective on the world.
Every year, at the end of winter, a group of Secondary 5 students and their accompanying staff set off on a journey to discover another country and experience a different culture. After six months of preparation, they leave the Canadian winter behind and head south—not to tourist resorts and crowded beaches, but to communities where thousands of people struggle every day to make ends meet.
Paramundo is an opportunity to explore, understand, and discover the world from a new perspective. Through this meaningful international experience, students broaden their horizons, develop a deeper understanding of global challenges, and gain a fresh outlook on the world around them.
